No chains around my feet, but I'm not free, The lyrics of Concrete Jungle, the hits from the album ‘Catch A Fire’ released by father of reggae Bob Marley & The Wailer in 1973, convey the message that a lonely soul has been trapped in the urban jungle. Although it is an upbeat reggae song, the voice from the vocal still reveals the helplessness of modern people in real life. The lyrics mentions that: “No chains around my feet, but I'm not free, I'm not free.” During that era, young people left their hometowns to work in the big cities. All they looked up and saw were skyscrapers. The beautiful skyline was no longer visible. The dreams in their minds could not be fulfilled because of the realities. #FLIPPOS design A fierce dinosaur appears to break through a concrete building in the late-night city when the hosiery is folded. Which means that everyone in the city has a part of the soul seeking for freedom; eventually he or she will find a way out even in a harsh environment. Concrete Jungle has been designed to commemorate Mr. Yong-Lai Ku, he is the father of the founder of FLIPPOS. We sincerely gratitude him for his contribution and dedication to the development of green building in Taiwan. |
